Requirements to get married in Dubai as a Bahrain couple

Everyone, from Emirate couples to non-Muslim couples, can have a registered marriage in Dubai. The government allows you to register for marriage in Dubai regardless of your nationality or religion. If you want to start a business in Dubai, registering your marriage here is a good place to begin. 

HOW DO YOU REGISTER YOUR MARRIAGE IN DUBAI?

A Dubai wedding registration is a strict procedure. The registration process is simple if the couples have Emirates citizenship. A Muslim couple can also register their marriage in court. The government maintained the same option for tourists and couples on visitor visas. The fundamental rules are as follows:

  • The couple must be above the legal age. 
  • The couple must submit their birth certificates and passport copies. 
  • The other laws vary depending upon the requirement of the embassy.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER MARRIAGE IN DUBAI

Regardless of your religion and citizenship status within the country, it is necessary to have some basic requirements to register your marriage in Dubai. 

  • The approval of the Bride 
  • The couple’s residential ID 
  • The couple’s birth certificate to prove their legal age 
  • Valid passports. 
  • Visa status of both the Bride and groom. 
  • At least one person must have a residential visa in UAE. 
  • A positive pre-marital screening report from health centers approved by UAE.

After the judge approves the marriage, non-Emirates must obtain embassy approval for legalization. If the couple registers themselves as legal, they will be able to continue living in the country.
